Here are links to some sites. The local links are mainly of interest to people around where I live, or who know me personally. The Global section is useful to anyone.
This is the part of my site most likey to have broken links. Because I don't visit all my links anymore, please Contact Me if you find a broken link.

Online Friends' Sites/Blogs

Captain of the Internet
The blog of Mike Judge, the Administrator of AloofHosting, my former webhost. Lots of wry humor, and some tech stuff.

LankaKitten
AloofKitten, or LankaKitten, is the wife of Administrator. This is her blog.

Celticknotter's Celtic Inspiration
Lots about Celic Knotwork, general Celtic stuff, and craftwork. Also book reviews, a forum, and a lot about Ms. Celticknotter herself.

Fishtank
Mattinahat writes music in his spare time. It's good music. He also has a forum, which alternates between lively and dead.

Mini Velveteen Rabbitry
All about rabbitry, by Velvetrabbit. Also her personal page.

Psycho Dance Party
Brodieclerk's personal website, with a blog, his own comic strip (Bloblife), and a forum.

RL Friends' Sites/Blogs

The Official Lair (www.fawnrocks.blogspot.com)
Brionna's blog, best described in her own words: "Just little old me ranting on random things, including movies, music, crazy people, and Conan O'Brien. Enter the Lair if you dare...."

Jason's Page (www.geocities.com/bboyscout04)
Jason has put together a webpage. He finally got started on a re-design, so the first part of December, there's almost nothing there. Check back later, though.

Logan T. Scott's Page (www.sitesled.com/members/logantscott)
Logan's webpage. Several links, and some cool stuff. Hasn't been updated since last year.

Sites of Local Places

A & J Select Market (www.ajmarket.com)
Website of A&J, the store where I work, and the only grocery store within miles of anywhere.

Stevenson High School
The website of Stevenson High School. Not much there, except the district calendar, but I feel like linking to it.

Technical Pursuit (www.technicalpursuit.com)
The website of my Senior Project mentor's company. If you are interested in seeing the TIBET programming interface, click demo on the top bar, near the middle. It's better when viewed in Mozilla than Internet Explorer, but IE works OK. (Probably too technical for anyone without any experience with JavaScript.)

Global Links

Links of interest to anyone, regardless of if you know me, or live in the area.

Sites I Frequent

Signs Never Sleep (www.signsneversleep.blogspot.com)
Blog of the Lincoln Sign Company, somewhere in New England. They were linked to from somewhere else, and I found it. It's a pretty interesting site, and they tell you a lot about signmaking.

Home Star Runner (www.homestarrunner.com)
I found this site through a friend's links, and ended up spending the better part of the next three days laughing at these Flash videos. And that was during finals week. They have a whole bunch of characters, who go through all sorts of adventures. Dial-up users, beware, the whole website is flash, and is best viewed on broadband.

College/Scholarship Related Sites

FastWeb (www.fastweb.com)
Site that lets you search through lots and lots of scholarships. A little heavy on the ads, but if you find even one scholarship to apply for, you can forgive them.

Dollarship (www.dollarship.com)
Kind of an interesting idea. They bill themselves as "The World's First Peer-to-Peer Scholarship". That basically means that when you apply, you send in a dollar, and they skim 50 cents off the top. The other 50 cents go to funding scholarships (they say). The way I figure it, 999 people are out $1 and 1 person gains $499. Sorry, I don't really like them, so I won't link to it.

PC Programs

Download.com (www.download.com)
Can find lots of useful programs for all platforms here. Heavy to shareware and fee-based programs, but you can filter by license type.
Some of the better ones availible there include:

Free Web Hosting

Having just been on a search for free web hosting, I thought I would link to some of the better ones I found.

Free Web Space (www.freewebspace.net)
Site where you can search among the sites that offer free web hosting. Allows you to sort by ammount of space offered. Also has reviews. (Thanks, Logan, for the link).

Geocities (www.geocities.com)
Decent host for basic web sites. My first host. Offers 15 mb, but upload can be tedious as site grows. Has popup ads, as well as a banner on the side. I later moved my site.

Angelfire (www.angelfire.com)
Another basic host. I tried them briefly, but they seem to be worse than Geocities, and the on-page ads are definately more annoying.

Aloof Hosting (www.aloofhosting.com)
The most awesome webhost no longer in existance. Awesome while it lasted, I've made a lot of online friends there.

100 WebSpace (www.100webspace.com)
A pretty decent webhost. Where my site is now. Allows free server side scripting, for now. I fully anticipate this site will change, or go paid only, or otherwise stop being good after a while.

SiteSled (www.sitesled.com)
A notable free server. Apparently ad free, and offering large ammounts of space. Logan's site is there, and they allow media files, zips, movies, and other stuff. I'd host my site here, but they currently do not support DNS referrals.

Photo Bucket (www.photobucket.com)
A site for hosting photos. Offers 100mb free, and claims more if a donation is made. ALLOWS you to direct link your photos. (That is, I can put them here, and link to them from elsewhere, and they don't mind. This is a GIANT plus for them.)
